Bütfering builds a variety of full sheet finishing machines manufactured to provide the highest quality finish on the market. Bütfering's sheet finishing line integrates into a single machine frame that, at one time, required multiple stand-alone machines.

Bütfering has engineered features that specifically benefit customers in the expanding field of metal finishing:
- Optional reciprocating sheet functions — allows sheet to be returned to the front of the machine and processed a number of times before being passed through a final pass. These are typically used on single or dual head models, allowing a small shop to produce high end finishing.
- Retractable contact drums — sanding heads will retract from the sheet the instant the machine is stopped, for any reason, protecting the sheet from damage normally caused in other machines.
- Optional speed synchronized in feed and out feed conveyors
- Available PVC application station to protect the sheets after finishing
